If you want somewhere that has a combination of independent retailers and designer stores but is
not as manic as London, then Guildford is the place to go!
Cobbled streets and historic buildings provide a charm and atmosphere that so many high streets
have lost. Why not make a day of it and stay for an early evening meal in one of the many eateries. If you want to combine culture with shopping then the Guildford Guildhall situated in the cobbled high street – underneath the big clock is a great place start.
The building although small is beautiful, built in the 16 th century and previously used as a courtroom and council chamber. The ground floor is of Tudor origin with wood panelled walls and great wooden beamed ceilings It is in this great building that you will find Glitterarti and a group of other independent retailers in the run up to Christmas.
A Craft and Gift Fair will be running on the following days and is a great place to find something that
is a little different:
